Championship Golf Course
The CGM golf course is an 18-hole, championship layout approximately 6500 yards in length. Par is 72 from the men’s white and blue tees and 73 from ladies yellow tees. Although not particularly long, the course features narrow, tree-lined fairways that dog leg left and right, as well as small, tricky greens.
The course winds through the exclusive Meadows Estates neighborhood and is relatively easy to walk. Best known for its natural Poanna greens, the course provides an excellent challenge for recreational and competitive golfers alike.
Golf Course Superintendent
Bill Warnick
Bill Warnick, the Golf Course Superintendent, is a lifelong golfer and is passionate about turf grass and preparing the golf course for members.
He graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. in Agronomy and through the years since then has kept up to date with developments in turfgrass maintenance, earning the distinction of Certified Golf Course Superintendent with the national superintendents’ association (GCSAA).
He worked as Golf Course Superintendent at several courses over the years in Oregon, then in 1990 moved to France, where he worked for thirty years as Golf Course Superintendent at a prestigious club on the outskirts of Paris. During his stay there, he prepared the course for 17 PGA European Tour Events.
When he is not looking after the golf course, Bill is playing golf himself – or skiing in the winter.
PGA Head Golf Professional
Jeff Gustafson
Jeff grew up in Battle Ground, WA and started golfing at age 14. At age 17 he won the Ping Jr Tour national series. After high school, he played for Lower Columbia CC and WSU.
During his college years, Jeff worked at Club Green Meadows as the Assistant Pro where he helped with all golf operations, tournaments and gave group and individual lessons. During this time, he met his future wife AmyJo who was working at the front desk at CGM. They have been together ever since and have two boys named Drew and Autzen.
Jeff left the golf business after about five years and pursued a career in insurance. He continued playing competitive golf as an amateur. He won the Royal Oaks Invitational, OGA Tournament of Champions, and OGA Team Championship along with eight club championships spread over four different courses.
About two years ago Jeff decided to get back into the golf business. He enrolled in the PGA program and has been giving golf lessons at Vanco Driving Range.
Jeff is super excited to become the Head Golf Professional at Club Green Meadows where he holds the course record of 63 and has been an athletic or golf member for the past 30 years.
